Can you bring food into Aquatica San Antonio?

At Aquatica San Antonio, safety is the only consideration that takes precedence over fun! Thrill rides, by their very nature, create forces and speeds that may not be acceptable or tolerable to some guests and may cause injury to some riders with known or unknown preexisting conditions.

Many theme park rides incorporate safety systems designed by the manufacturer to accommodate people of average physical stature and body proportion. These systems may place restrictions on the ability of an individual to safely experience the ride. In general, you should ride only if you are in good health. Do not ride if you know or suspect you may be pregnant, have high blood pressure, heart, neck or back problems, motion sickness, recent surgery, or any other medical condition that may be affected by the features of the ride. You should not ride if you have any impairment or condition that would prevent the intended use of seating and safety restraints as provided or an inability to follow any safety requirement.

In order to ride, guests must must review and comply with requirements posted at each attraction; those under 42 inches are recommended to wear a life vest and must be accompanied by an adult.  Guests must be able to maintain the proper riding position throughout the ride. Guests must be able to demonstrate a willingness and ability to comply with verbal and written rider requirements. The rider requirements and health restrictions are listed at the entrance of each ride.

Guests with casts or braces that may present a hazard to the guest or others will be restricted from riding certain rides. Please consult with our Guest Services staff for more information or if in doubt about your ability to safely experience a ride.

Aquatica San Antonio Ambassadors can offer assistance steadying a guest transferring to or from a wheelchair. They may not lift or assist in lifting anyone using a wheelchair. All guests must be able to board a ride themselves or with help from a member of their party. The maturity level of any rider must be considered prior to riding.

Aquatica is one of the coolest water parks in Texas!! We recently visited Aquatica in San Antonio for the first time and had a blast! This water park is filled with fun water slides and features that will please kids of all ages. I’ve listed twelve tips to enjoy your day at Aquatica Water Park

Location of Aquatica:

Aquatica is located at 10500 Sea World Drive in San Antonio. It’s part of SeaWorld.

It’s about a 20 minute drive west from the Riverwalk in San Antonio.

When To Visit Aquatica in San Antonio:

The Aquatica season typically starts during Spring Break and closes mid October.

Hours vary depending on the day of the week and month. For an up to date calendar, check out their website HERE.

Tips for Visiting Aquatica in San Antonio:

1. Get There Early

Make sure to get there 30 minutes before they open so that you can be one of the first in the line. This will help to get a close parking spot and go through the security line faster.

When the park opens, snag some chairs, because the prime spots fill up fast! Lay out a couple of beach towels to save your spots.

Then be ready to ride the water slides! We were able to do four water slides in 30 minutes! If you are wanting to include SeaWorld in the same day, then getting here early is SUPER important! We did everything we wanted to in a little over an hour.

2. Ride Stingray Falls First

Stingray Falls should be your first water slide of the day. For one it’s the coolest! There are no other water parks that have a water slide where you slide into an underwater grotto filled with stingrays!

Since it’s the coolest, the lines can get long! We got there first thing and there was no wait. We just hopped right on. 30 minutes later the line was down the stairs!

3. Wave Pool

This wave pool has bigger waves than I’ve seen at other water parks which is awesome! Like five foot waves! Just a head up, there are no inner tubes to float in the wave pool.

4. Check The Slides Height Requirements at Aquatica in San Antonio

If you have younger kids, I recommend checking the website for the slide height requirements before visiting. Hopefully it can help prepare kids mentally to know what they will or will not be able to ride. It’s helped us prevent a tantrum or two.

5. Wear Flip Flops

Texas summer weather can heat up the concrete fast! While there are some areas that you can get away with being barefoot, I recommend bringing cheap flip flops. We had no issues with bringing them on water slides or leaving them by the lazy river entrance. It will save your feet I promise!

6. Ride the Tonga Twister

The Tonga Twister is their newest water slide. It’s a fully enclosed tube that has a light and sound experience through out the slide. It’s pretty awesome, so you should definitely check it out!

7. Feed the Stingrays

This is a cool experience that you will not find at another water park! It costs $5 to get a few fish and feed them for a unique experience. While feeding them, we were able to touch them too which was awesome! They LOVE the food and it can look a little scary, but it’s safe.

8. Bring a water bottle

Aquatica does not allow outside food or beverages with the exception of one water bottle or reusable bottle.

9. Use Quick Pay

Quick Pay is a way to purchase drinks, food, or souvenirs during the day without carrying around cash or a credit card. It connects to a waterproof wristband that you can wear throughout the park. Super convenient!!

10. Stay the Whole Day

If you are crunched for time, Aquatica can be done in a couple hours.

However if you have the time, I recommend a full day. A full day gives you the time to enjoy every water slide, catch the waves in the wave pool and relax for a long time in the lazy river.

11. Buy Your Tickets in Advance

This will help save time and money the day of your visit. Go HERE to purchase tickets.
