Just recently got into metal casting and I accidentally abused my first crucible, lol.
Anyways, I thought other people would find this crucible care info very helpful : ).

TLDR - Quick Tips -
Don't Stack Crucibles inside each other
Make sure to properly heat crucibles and remove all moisture b4 use4
Avoid using Pliers and stiff metal gripping tools to remove or transport crucibles - invest in tongs : )
Clean dross from the crucible frequently, don't let it sit to long, burn up and coat the inside as possible
Use slag clearing implements with rounded edges and no sharp edges
