Dive into anything

My son is 8 months old and we’ve turned our family room into his playroom. There’s not much in that room and it’s gated off, so we can pretty much let him roam. We occasionally leave him unsupervised in there for a few minutes at a time (like if I’m doing a load of laundry or taking the garbage out), so it’s important that it is a safe environment.

But here’s my issue - we have a rectangular wooden coffee table that doubles as toy storage. It has sharp-ish corners. We had purchased those soft foam corner protectors, but now that my son can pull to stand, he is constantly pulling them off and chewing on them. The other day, I found that he ripped off a piece and was chewing on it, which is a huge choking hazard.

We’ve taken them off for now, but does anyone have any other suggestions for how to baby proof corners?
